Temperature Measuring Apparatus
This bench top unit is used for studying temperature measurement of several commonly used devices as well as understanding related principles.
The unit consists of four types of display and five different other temperature measuring devices.
Heat sources and means for calibration and accuracy comparison of the different devices is also provided.

Hydraulic Studies and AccessoriesOsborne Reynolds Apparatus
This equipment provides laminar, transitional, and turbulent flow as predicted by Osborne Reynolds. It is to be used with Hydraulics Bench i.e. HB100 or HB100N (separately supplied).
It consists of a removable clear acrylic cylinder with an adjustable overflow pipe. Water is admitted at the bottom of the tank through a diffuser and stilling materials, and is discharged via a bell mouth transparent vertical test pipe with a flow control valve at the end. Flow rate is measured by a measuring cup. A dye injection system is installed on top of the acrylic cylinder tank and flow patterns in the pipe can be observed against a white background plate.

Flow Measurement and Flow StudyParticle Drag Coefficients
The apparatus is designed to study the drag of a particle in a liquid under various Reynold numbers.
This is done by dropping a particle into a vertical liquid column and timing its fall between two points. Particle cross section is no more than 1% of the tube cross section. Various sizes and density of particles are supplied including stream lined shaped objects.
A guide at the top of the tube is provided to minimize disturbance to the liquid. Valves at the bottom of the tubes provide a mean for particle removal with minimum loss of the liquid. The rear panel is translucent with back lighting. This allows clear observation of the particle fall.
