Bernoulli’s theorem is applied on flow through a clear acrylic Venturi tube. The apparatus is to be used with Hydraulics Bench i.e. HB100 or HB100N (separately supplied).
Static pressures at various points along the wall of a transparent Venturi tub are directly measured on a manometer equipped with a vent valve and a hand air pump. A movable stainless steel total head probe is also provided. Flow through the Venturi tube is controlled by a valve at the outlet. As a primary flow measuring device, coefficient of discharge for the Venturi tube can also be determined.

Cavitation Panel
This apparatus is for demonstrating the liquid vaporization under low pressure due to high flow velocity such as when water flows through a restriction in a pipe or a water passage. It is to be used with Hydraulics Bench i.e. HB100 or HB100N (separately supplied).
The test section is a transparent Venturi for vapor observation. Pressure and vacuum gauges are connected to pressure tappings at the upstream end and throat respectively of the test section. The test section and the gauges are mounted on a panel. The panel is intended for use with a Hydraulics bench (separately supplied) or an outside water supply with sufficient pressure and flow rate.

Dead Weight Pressure Tester
The tester is designed to calibrate pressure gauge.
It consists of a precision machined stainless steel piston and cylinder with calibrated weights. The weights are applied on the upper end of the piston rod to generate pressure. The assembly is mounted on adjusting screws with a bull’s eye level. The pressure gauge is connected to the cylinder, thus subject to known pressure and comparison with the gauge reading can be made. Leaking liquid from the cylinder is returned to a reservoir. The cylinder can be simply refilled with liquid from the reservoir without removing the piston.

Flow Over a Notch
The apparatus is for the study of flow over a notched weir. It is to be used with Hydraulics Bench i.e. HB100 or HB100N (separately supplied).
Three weir plates, a rectangular notch and two V notches, are provided. Characteristics of flow over the notches can be observed and coefficients of discharge can be determined. The plates are attached to the open channel of the Hydraulics Bench. Water is supplied to the channel via a discharge diffuser and passes through a stilling baffle to smooth the flow. A vernier hook and point gauge is provided to measure the height of water level in the channel.

Flow Over A Notch Channel
This is an open channel with flat top edge for Flow Over A Notch experiment on HB100G Hydraulics Bench gravimetric or HB 101 Basic Hydraulics Bench.
The unit is to be placed on top of HB 100G or HB 101. Water is admitted to the channel via a discharge diffuser and passes through a perforated sheet. Water is discharged over a detachable weir plate to the end section before draining to the storage tank. A hook and point gauge are placed on the channel top edge for water level measurement. The channel has adjustable footings.
