Archimedes Principle Apparatus
This archimedes principle apparatus demonstrates that the buoyancy acting on a body submerged in a liquid corresponds to the weight of the displaced liquid.
The equipment consists of a solid cylinder fits exactly into a hollow acrylic cylinder. Both cylinders have hooks for attachment to a spring balance hung on a stand. A beaker holding a liquid provides the buoyancy.

Hydraulic Studies and AccessoriesFlow Over a Notch
The apparatus is for the study of flow over a notched weir. It is to be used with Hydraulics Bench i.e. HB100 or HB100N (separately supplied).
Three weir plates, a rectangular notch and two V notches, are provided. Characteristics of flow over the notches can be observed and coefficients of discharge can be determined. The plates are attached to the open channel of the Hydraulics Bench. Water is supplied to the channel via a discharge diffuser and passes through a stilling baffle to smooth the flow. A vernier hook and point gauge is provided to measure the height of water level in the channel.

Flow Measurement and Flow StudyLiquid Sedimentation Apparatus
The apparatus is designed to study the settling characteristics and particle sizes of suspended solid.
Five transparent glass sediment tubes are mounted vertically on a rigid frame. The rear panel is translucent with back lighting. Scales are provided on the tubes. The tubes can be removed for washing, filling or mixing of solid particles. Sedimentation rate is observed using a stopwatch.
