Mini Axial Flow Impulse Turbine
The turbine twin nozzles with flow control valves direct water jets to the runner radial blades. Nozzle pressure is indicated by a pressure gauge. Torque is measured by a Prony brake with two spring balances. Speed is indicated on a portable tachometer. Flow rate is measured by the Hydraulics Bench measuring tank.

Mini Axial Flow Propeller Turbine
This equipment demonstrates axial flow propeller turbine characteristics i.e. torque, power and efficiency at different speeds for various heads and flow rates of water. It is to be used with a submersible pump and an Hydraulics Bench i.e. HB100 or HB100N (separately supplied).
The turbine fixed guide vanes direct water helically to the runner. Inlet-pressure is indicated by a manometer. Torque is measured by a Prony brake with two spring balances. Speed is indicated on a portable tachometer. Flow rate is measured by the Hydraulics Bench measuring tank.

Mini Flow Channel
This equipment demonstrates primary characteristics of flow in an open channel including flow patterns over or around immersed objects. It is to be used with Hydraulics Bench i.e. HB100 or HB100N (separately supplied).
The channel in made of clear acrylic with an undershot weir at inlet and an overshot weir at discharge. Water is admitted to the channel through a cylinder with a stilling baffle to reduce turbulence. Flow rate can be controlled by a flow control valve of the Hydraulics Bench. A dye injection system is installed at the channel inlet to observe flow patterns around models.
A grid on a white background is provided for easy observation of the streamlines.

Orifice and Jet Flow
This equipment allows determination of coefficient of velocity and coefficient of discharge under various constant heads for two different orifice diameters. Comparison of jet trajectory with that by theory of mechanics can also be made. The equipment is to be used with Hydraulics Bench i.e. HB100 or HB100N (separately supplied).
The equipment consists of a removable clear acrylic cylinder with sharp edge orifice installed at and flush with the lower inside wall of the cylinder. An adjustable overflow allows various constant heads for the test and trajectory of the jet is indicated by probes on the jet path. Heights of the probes are indicated by scales. The apparatus rests on adjustable footings and a level gauge is provided.

Osborne Reynolds Apparatus
This equipment provides laminar, transitional, and turbulent flow as predicted by Osborne Reynolds. It is to be used with Hydraulics Bench i.e. HB100 or HB100N (separately supplied).
It consists of a removable clear acrylic cylinder with an adjustable overflow pipe. Water is admitted at the bottom of the tank through a diffuser and stilling materials, and is discharged via a bell mouth transparent vertical test pipe with a flow control valve at the end. Flow rate is measured by a measuring cup. A dye injection system is installed on top of the acrylic cylinder tank and flow patterns in the pipe can be observed against a white background plate.
