Forces in Truss
This equipment allows measurement of axial forces in pin-jointed truss members and compare them with calculated values. It is to be used with ST300 Universal Structural Frame (separately supplied).
The truss consists of 19 members for construction of different cantilevered trusses where loading can be applied at any of the bottom joints by a load hanger and weights. An indicator measures truss deflection. The joints are designed to simulate pin-joints. Each truss member has a strain gauge. Each gauge is wired to form a full bridge with temperature compensation and zero adjustment in the strain indicator. A steady bar with three adjustable forks is provided to ensure lateral stability.
Instruction manual is also included.

Influence Line Apparatus
The equipment is used for studying the reactions under various conditions of load at all supports along a three-span bridge. It is to be used with ST300 Universal Structural Frame (separately supplied).
The bridge has a cantilever end sections and a suspended center section. The location of the supports is adjustable.
The supports are vertical force supports for measurement of loads. The deflection of the bridge can be measured by dial indicators.

Plastic Bending of a Frame
This equipment allows a study on the relation between deflection of a portal frame under loads in plastic condition. Computer interface unit is included. It is to be used with ST300 Universal Structural Frame (separately supplied).
A portal frame is fixed at both legs on two supports. Loads are applied vertically on the cross member and/or horizontally on one of the legs by force load cell. Deflection of the frame is measured by long stroke displacement force load cells. Loads are applied until frame collapses.
Instruction manual is also included.
